In order to attain its goal and objectives HFC deploys the following strategies,

• Provision of educational support for needy children
• Provision of psychosocial care and support to OVCs and their families,
• Operation of Group homes for  OVCs
• Peer education to  address sexual and reproductive health needs and rights of young community members
• Community sensitization  and entertainment to raise awareness
• Capacity building of CBOs ( Iddirs and youth clubs) and
• Promoting VSLA groups
• Promoting Income Generating Activities

• Support to community
• Capacity building of Community Based Organizations (CBO) s: like iddir
• Support to Anti-AIDS clubs
• Working on the improvement of citizen human and democratic rights, good governance, transparency and accountability, conflict resolution , peace building and so on
• Environmental protection and greenery activities

To build the livelihood of children and young people who were under HFCs custody and got beyond OVCs age limit and to motivate youth in the program. This includes,

• Skill training to OVCs
• Support to higher education ( OVCs above 18)
• Starting capital for IGA
• Saving and credit scheme
• Sewing

This program area mainly deals with addressing social and psychological needs of OVCs and their families.

• Social services: includes
  • Group homes
  • Sponsorship
  • Exhibition
  • Publications
  • IEC material production
• Basic supports (food, shelter and clothing)
• Education ( formal education to OVCs )
• Child reunification,
• Sport, games and recreation facilities,
• Life skills education
• Scouting
• Financial and material support
• House maintenance
• Awareness creation about OVCs problem, vision, need etc

• HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support: HFC undertakes different interventions including
• Awareness creation programs such as educational entertaining activities, trainings, community conversation/ dialogue ( IEC/BCC intervention),
• VCT and ART services through referrals,
• Counseling,
• Sexual and reproductive health education:
• peer education
• Life skill
• Teen star
• Primary Health care information and services
• Primary health education/promotion
• Medical diagnosis and treatment to OVCs through referral
• Provision of medical fee for needy children

This is mainly the provision of support access to education with comprehensive manner.. Currently, HFC supports children who are KG up to University
